Over the Course of WWII...
Over the course of WWII, many hard-fought battles allowed the Allies to defeat the Axis and push them into Berlin, where their leader effectively committed suicide and led to their unconditional surrender. The conquest did not happen instantly, and a lot of lives were lost trying to take back Europe. Throughout this whole campaign, Canada itself supported the war effort immensely, supplying troops with much needed supplies and ammunition and contributing men to the Allied air force, navy and army.
